I’m a middle-grade author interested in old tales and old worlds, animals and adventure, fantasy and family stories.
I earned a master’s in professional writing at Falmouth University in Cornwall, England. Since then, I have contributed to American and British publications, including The Writer and Catster. A member of the Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators, I am currently working on a middle-grade fantasy novel.
I live in Vermont, where I teach English at Castleton University and share a drafty farmhouse with a torbie cat named Beebee. I enjoy baking, horseback riding, and crafts with varying degrees of success. When the world isn’t in the throes of a pandemic, I travel and try to speak other languages.
I’m always happy to chat: email me at ddahmvermont@gmail.com.
